One of Eagle Aviation's Dakotas took a new Bristol engine and airscrew to Lisbon on Feb 23rd. It was required by Aquila's Solent which had shed an airscrew in flight on a trip from Lisbon to Maderia.
Eagle reports that during January it completed 200hrs flying only two aircraft.
Last week Eagle announced that its fleet of three Viking aircraft which had been offered for general charter, was to be temporarily leased to Airwork, as we foreshadowed in this column on January 30th. Eagle said that it had found that it was impracticable to fit the Viking 1A into its pattern of operation, especially as the company had recently been intensifying the DC 3 activities.
