One of the longest charter flights ever undertaken by a British independent operator ended last week when a York of Eagle Aviation Ltd., returned to the United Kingdom after a journey of 30,750 miles. The aircraft left London on December 6th for Iwakuni, in Japan, carrying Christmas mail for troops in the Far East. It then picked up 13 Phillipine seamen at Hong Kong and flew across the South Atlantic to Natal, Rio de Janeiro and Port Alegre before returning to this country.
