G-ANCF - Information Required
Posted on original forum on the 23/08/2007 by Red Eagle
There is a plan to produce a book on the life of G-ANCF. If you have any thing that might be included in this book could you send it to britisheagleint@aol.com this will then be passed on to the author. Also if you took a photo of the flight deck during its career would you also contact us at the same email address. Many thanks

Although probably not the depth or type of information Red Eagle is looking for, there has been much comment (informed and otherwise) on a Merseyside based bulletin board site. Over a number of posts a Liverpool centric history of G-ANCF has been built up. Hopefully some of the discussion there will be of interest! www.xsorbit6.com/users/nwanforum///index.cgi?board=news&action=display&num=1170083257&start=0
As the photos and news of the rebuild of G-ANCF seem to have disappeared when this site was rebuilt recently, an excellent restoration diary is available on www.jetstream-club.org (follow link: (restoration diary here), then click over the date to reveal report, photos etc.).Added later on modify – I’m pleased to see the web-master has now introduced a link from the home page direct to G-ANCF Restoration. Thank you.

Many thanks for you comments Viscount 800. Firstly the updates on G-ANCF can still be found by clicking on aircraft flown then aircraft reg G-ANCF. My reason for requesting pics of the mentioned names of Britannia aircraft was to see if anyone out there had got any, to prove that they were used on the particular aircraft. The names issue is a real minefield. Speaking to an official of Eagle recently, there was no authority given to use name stickers in his few but with forty years past memories get blurred.
