DC-6 G-APSA Dear all, I have the very great privilege to fly the former Eagle DC-6 registration G-APSA. A team from the current operator, Air Atlantique, is promoting the aircraft under the title “The Six” and news of our efforts can be found on the website www.thedc6.com We believe that G-APSA is the only airworthy former Eagle airliner. She will be 50 on June 13 and to celebrate we plan to fly her back to Santa Monica (where she was built) and then to route via airfields in Canada into which she operated in her short career with Maritime Central Airways prior to purchase by Eagle. At the end of June she will return to the UK via Blackbushe before attending several important European venues including this years Farnborough. I would be delighted to hear from any of you that have personal reminiscences of G-APSA. There is an email address for direct correspondence in the “Contact” section of the Six website. I hope to meet some of you this year. Kind regards, Julian Firth Head of DC-6 operations Air Atlantique www.thedc6.comRe: DC-6 G-APSA by Red Eagle In co-operation with the DC 6 G-APSA Group, Home of Eagle are requesting anyone with photos, flight log records, or any other items that are related to G-APSA and its flights to contact the Eagle group of Companies archivist on britisheagleint@aol.com.
