G-APSA DC6 flies in and out of Blackbushe by Red Eagle
Yes folks, history was repeated yesterday when G-APSA was flown into Blackbushe airport. Mr Harold Bamberg met the aircraft and after photographs he and the archivist boarded the plane for a flight to Farnborough in readiness for the air show. The aircraft flew a fly pass at Blackbushe. The first time this aircraft flew into Blackbushe was in 1959 on its delivery flight to the Eagle base. At Farnborough, fifty or so ex Eagle staff met to celebrate the aircrafts 50th birthday. We are indebted to Air Atlantique and the flight crew for their willingness to sponsor this event.
