G-AROI D.H.DOVE NAMED ‘EAGLET’
Eagle operated a Dove G-AROI for approximately eighteen months during 1966-1968. Little is known about this operation except that it served in the main between Dundee and Heathrow and Liverpool. It is known to have been serviced in the main at the Eagle’s Liverpool maintenance base. You will remember that Eagle named it ‘Eaglet’. A number of photo’s appeared in aviation magazines during those years.
The Museum at Malaga airport have a Dove which they plan to restore for exhibition in the museum repainting it British Eagle colours and have asked for any historical information about the aircraft that anyone knows of.
It you have anything that might help would you be so kind as to send information in the first place to: britisheagleint@aol.com
This is the official Eagle Archive address. Thank you in anticipation
Eric (archivist)
Suggested items of interest:
1. Crew names? Are any known to still be alive? 2. Did the aircraft operated on any other routes? 3. Does any maintenance staff either at Liverpool or Heathrow have any stories about the aircraft? 4. Any passengers remember flying on the aircraft? 5. Do you hold any memorabilia ie. tickets timetables adverts. We at Eagle Archives would be particularly interested. 6. An ithing thig else that is relevent.
